My daughter Anika has been learning Kuchipudi from Usha Goteti garu for the past 7 years. She loves going to class because of the environment and the way the class is conducted at Abhinaya Kuchipudi Art Academy. Her teacher is very dedicated to the art form, very particular with the mudras, posture and expressions when she is dancing. The best past is my daughter knows the meaning of each word, thalam, the background of the song as her teacher takes that extra step to explain them in the class.
Usha garu is very supportive when it comes to competitions, certificate exams and performances. She motives them by throwing challenges, conducting workshops, and asks them to help juniors. Anika is very fortunate to have a teacher like her and Thank you Usha Garu for your constant support and guidance to Anika.

I have been learning Kuchipudi under Usha ma’am for close to 5 years now. If anything, I have grown so close to Usha ma’am and everyone at academy because of such a loving environment ma’am has strived to create within our classes. She has gone above and beyond to show us that with discipline devotion and dedication we become the dance. This growing philosophy is what sparked so many interesting conversations  that lead to my rangapravesham in late November of 2022. With such an ambitious milestone ahead of me, I faced ups and downs but behind the scenes. in each and every one-on-one class was Usha ma’am. A guru, yet a mother, a friend, a shoulder to lean on. My graduation has been one of my greatest learning experiences, especially I was taught to be curious and introduced to what lied beneath the surface: meanings of every piece, poetic derivations, conveying with soul and detailed studies into talam. With a teacher that evidently shows so much passion and respect towards dance, ma’am has and continues to inspire all of us.

My daughter has been learning under the guidance of Ushagaru for last 6 years and her progress has been phenomenal. Her interest and dedication towards dance has increased. Usha’s commitment to dance keep the children very involved in learning.
