My daughter loves going to the Kuchipudi class by Ushagaru. She started a couple of years back and has made and performed at multiple rehearsals and events already under Ushagaru's guidance. My daughter is always very excited about the class and also makes sure she does her homework and sends her assignment to Ushagaru every week and makes sure she doesnt stay behind. Ushagaru has made my daughter self driven in what she is learning. My daughter enjoys the class and she has literally made a community of friends and knows and plays with all the other students. For us we are very happy to have built a community of care and guidance from this activity which we are keen on building into our child over the coming years. Ushagaru is very experienced teacher and actually enjoys teaching even younger kids than my daughter who is 8 now. I cant thank Ushagaru enough for instilling the interest for Kuchipudi dance which is by itself perfection in expressions and beautiful choreography expressed towards God and imbibed in telugu culture. My daughter also has picked up a lot of telugu culture being born in Usa, through this and also understands and is keen on learning the language which is part of the songs she sings while dancing every time. From the classes which happen twice a week once at Aria University and once online, my daughter has picked up a lot over these 2 years. We are very thankful for having such a great teacher and indebted to Ushagaru.

My daughter has been learning kuchipudi from Smt Usha garu for over a year. Usha garu is such a passionate and dedicated teacher who also makes classes so enjoyable that kids are looking forward to her classes. She is so friendly with the kids yet makes them accountable with homework videos. She takes the time to go through each video patiently and corrects each kid for their position, mudras and expressions. She takes time to explain the bhavam(meaning) of each song to make sure kids give the right expressions. Her bonding with students is immensely strong as she treats them like her own children. We feel very fortunate to have her as our daughter’s guru!

My kids have been taking classes from Usha garu for over a year and they always looking forward for the next class. She is very friendly and caring. kids are very fortunate to have her as their guru! Her attention to detail is amazing and puts a lot of effort in getting the outcome from each kid. Her dedication is unparalleled. She went on a vacation once and yet she joined online classes making sure that kids were preparing well for their upcoming performance. We can't ask for a better guru for my kids!!!

I am very fortunate to have Usha garu as my girls’ Kuchipudi teacher. She has a very friendly attitude towards kids and goes out of the way to connect with them. Usha Garu has a multidisciplinary and detailed approach to teaching Kuchipudi, dissecting and discussing every element, from the song and its meaning to the history of this great art form. She is an incredibly dedicated, passionate, and patient guru. Couldn’t have asked for a better teacher. My daughter presented her Rangapravesam under Usha garu’s guidance, and the experience was truly special . She was incredibly steadfast in her commitment throughout the process, and made it an incredibly powerful memory and positive learning experience for my daughter. Despite the challenges of conflicting timezones and online classes, Usha garu’s guidance, hard work and knowledge produced a magical end result.

Usha is a very passionate and dedicated kuchupudi dance teacher. She helped my daughters train for their Rangetram. It was hard for the kids but she motivated them continously and they performed their arangetram successfully.

Both my daughters have been learning dance from Usha mam for few years now, I can see them getting transformed as promising dancers. She has inculcated the values and discipline in such a way that dance has become integral part of their life . I am thankful to God for bringing Usha mam in my daughters’ lives . My daughter has been learning Kuchipudi since she was 5 years old. We are very lucky to have Usha Ma’am as her dance teacher . She is so talented , taking care of each and every child’s improvement. We are from a different background , my daughter can’t speak Telugu but Usha makes them understand the song so well that reflects in their performance. My daughter loves to dance as she loves her Usha Ma’am . We are so grateful to Usha Ma’am for being there always as their pillar of strength, support and inspiration.

Usha akka is an amazing dancer and my first guru in Dance. I've seen very few people who have so much of passion and love for what they do. I started my formal training at the age of 6 as her first student and trained under her for more than 8 years. She is very keen on perfection and will not settle for less. She is one of the very few gurus who teaches 'Bhava' and 'Rasa' as well to perfection along with the body movements. Those 8 years under her were the most cherished and fruitful years of my dance life during which I performed in ~300 stage shows and competitions and also received C.C.R.T scholarship from the Govt. of India , all credits to Usha akka and my parents who encouraged me at every step. I'm very lucky to have her as my teacher and I'm sure anyone who has trained or is training under her couldn't agree more!

My daughter, Aanya, has been learning Kuchipudi from Usha for the last 6+ years. We have been really fortunate to have someone as accomplished as Usha teach Aanya. Usha is extremely patient and encouraging with her students and one of the reasons most students who started out learning alongside Aanya are still with her. Usha also ensures all her students get to participate in stage performances irrespective of their learning experience. This keeps the students' interest high. Aanya started learning Kuchipudi from Usha when she was 5.5yrs old and in less than 6 months Aanya was performing on stage. Usha puts in a lot of hard work with her students. Her classes usually always extend and she conducts a lot of extra classes to prepare her students for performances or certification exams. On top of it she insists on homework videos and provides regular feedback. All her students truly admire and respect her. As a parent, I feel so proud to see Aanya grow and get better as a dancer. Aanya has also won Kuchipudi dance competitions under Usha's guidance. More importantly, Usha is a wonderful person and I am so happy to have her be part of Aanya's growing up years and have a positive influence in how Aanya is shaping up as an individual.

Smt Usha garu is a renowned Kuchipudi teacher and choreographer. We are proud that our daughter is learning Kuchipudi from her. Usha garu has instilled a deep interest for dance in her. My daughter Taashvi has been learning from Usha Mam since past 4 years and it's been an honour to have her as our Guru for my daughter. Usha ma'am is a highly talented, kind, diligent and accomplished dancer. As we lived in the west for a long time, my daughter couldn't speak telugu well and we were apprehensive of how she'd learn. Usha treats students like her own children, taught mine and other kids who speak different languages not only dance but also a little of telugu and Sanskrit languages. She emphasises on understanding the song so that they get appropriate expressions. Her teaching is tailored to the student with a different style for each one. This individual attention makes them realise their best potential - with many senior students considering dance as a potential profession now. Students learn not only out of respect but also due to love and they have taken up teaching the junior ones! She is fun to hang out with and students love the informal time with their guru. We are forever indebted to her for her kidness and presence in our lives.

We are really happy With usha mam.. the way mam teaches is really wonderful and very easy in such a way that an 4 years old kid also can easily understand and perform. Not only that we are so happy and little proud that our kid is performing and learning our tradition.
